The work on the realisation proposal for the German-Polish House was carried out in close cooperation and consultation with German and Polish experts. To this end, the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe concluded a cooperation agreement with the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute for History of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the German Poland Institute Darmstadt worked together with the German-Polish Youth Office. Both institutions advised the staff unit and the German Poland Institute on the selection and composition of the expert panels.
Renowned academics - primarily from the fields of history, art history, literature and cultural studies - museum educators, memorial site staff, exhibition organisers, architects and artists from Germany and Poland supported the development of the concept. The experts met several times in thematically organised forums.
