Guided tour of Berlin as part of the 86th annual commemoration of the German invasion of Poland in 1939

A city tour with writer and journalist Dorota Danielewicz will start the 86th annual commemoration of the German invasion of Poland in 1939 on Sunday, 31 of August. The tour begins at 12:00 noon and will visit places in Berlin that bear traces of Poland's history during the Second World War.

As part of the Berlinski Tour, a total of 47 stops in the centre of Berlin can be visited via various routes that highlight Polish aspects of the city's history. The stops are accompanied by recordings of stories told by Polish revolutionaries, aristocrats, diplomats and poets, journalists, writers and forced labourers who spent significant moments in their lives in the capital of Germany. The city tour begins at the meeting point at the Friedrichstraße S-Bahn and U-Bahn station at the monument trains to death – trains to life 1938–1945 by Frank Meisler.
