Julia Bork

Julia Bork studied art history and classical archaeology at the University of Warsaw and the Free University of Berlin and has been working in the German-Polish cultural sector for several years. Last year, she was the project manager of the project "#63Days - 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising" for the German Poland Institute Darmstadt and the German-Polish House. 

Previously, she was a curator at the Sonnenburg Concentration Camp Museum and worked on various German-Polish projects in the border region, including the Interreg VA and VIA projects "Sites of Remembrance Oder-Warthe - Remembrance connects Oder / Warthe", "On the way to a common history" and "In the footsteps of the Knights of St John - Tourist valorisation of the history of the Order of St John in the Oder-Warthe region" (2019-2023). Prior to this, she worked at the Plattform Kulturelle Bildung Brandenburg in Potsdam for the state funding programme "Kulturelle Bildung und Partizipation" of the MWFK and was the contact person for the service point Kultur macht stark - Brandenburg, Potsdam. She was also co-curator of the exhibition "Both Sides of the Oder" as part of the ECHY Year 2018 at the Haus Brandenburgisch-Preußische Geschichte in Potsdam. She was also the contact person for German-Polish projects and events at the Küstrin Fortress Museum in Kostrzyn nad Odrą for several years.
